WOW! Terrific Chinese buffet on US 1 across from Treasure Coast mall. My husband and I moved here last summer and this is the best Chinese place we have come across. It has everything. The only thing I wish they would build on is the salad bar. Even if someone in your party isn't interested in Chinese food, this place is still good. They have plenty of American choices too.

My husband took me there on my birthday. Because I love sushi and all asian food. I found raw oyster all you can eat. That made me so happy already. It just worth of the price they charge. My husband don't eat too much sushi and oyster. So we don't go sushi bar often. For buffet sushi was pretty good. I was 100% satisfied.

We went their for lunch and the food was good and many choices, my only complaint that the hot food was only warm.

Supposedly hot food was room temperature. Fried chicken wings were dried out, I was not able to bite into them. Vegetable omelet also was only room temperature and tasted of rancid grease. White fish; room temperature and it tasted bad. The only thing I was able to eat was the fried rice, which also was room temperature. My husband was only able to eat cantaloupe and orange wedges. Then, I was ill after we got home. Will NEVER go back there! The health department needs to check this place out! What a shame! To make things worse, kids were running around the buffet tables, and yelling, and nobody on staff intervenes at all, or seems to care that the kids could run into people and knock them over.

Food is great, best chinese food ive had since ive moved down 6 yrs ago from up north, the lunch buffet is really cheap which is good theres so much to choose from and the staff were friendly!

This buffet was terrible. One expects a little less from buffets but this was just bad. The shrimp was old and the food had little to no flavor. The staff seemed nice but frustrated. There were a lot of people there and one man started a fight with the hostess because there were no more oysters. I felt badly for children within earshot because the F-bomb was dropped repeatedly. I will not be back..

Great oysters and peel and eat shrimp, good sushi and selection. Awesome deal at the price.

Ate at Mikata Buffet tonight for the first time, and my husband and I had a great time. Mind you, the food isn't and doesn't claim to be gourmet but it is varied, fresh and hot. The sushi bar is surprisingly well-stocked with beautifully made and delicious offerings, and there's a tepanyaki grill available. There's a salad bar, tons of fresh fruit, and a nice selection of deserts. I looked at the seafood - crab, shrimp, crab meat and maybe some others - and it all looked well cared for and fresh. And oh, the wait staff is efficient and fast! All in all, we ate way too much and will definitely go back again. And for $11 per dinner, this can't be beat for a weekday casual meal.

I go there for the sushi. You're paying $7.49 for all you can eat lunch, its going to be mediocre. The service is fair, for the 2/3 times you see the waitress. The sushi is fresh and the rice to filling ratio is nice. I'll keep going there as long as they are open and always before 3:30 (before lunch ends, I couldn't fathom paying 10+ for average food.)

Decent for lunch bcz it's only $6.99. Traditional Chinese buffet fare, 4 soups, sushi and Mongolian Grill. Dessert has 8 different ice creams and some other choices like fruit, some stale baked items and pudding and jello. Wouldn't go to dinner there since the price is hiked up without any more choices. Decor is cheap and I'm guessing use to be a steak house but not typical Chinese Restaurant decor. Strange: Floor is slippery from grease...

Perhaps I like this place better than I might, because I'm just not that conversant with the all-you-can-eat culture that pervades much of this country (but not where I live, so much.) I've been to Mikata twice now, and was surprised to enjoy it both times. Perhaps it's partly the novelty factor, but I actually enjoyed most of the food. Is it fine dining? Certainly not. Is it Chinese, or Japanese? No, not really. But it serves up an assortment of foods that, if generally not very healthy, are tasty, freshly made, and endlessly plentiful. It's busy enough that trays are constantly coming out of the kitchen, and the sushi guy is always busy making new rolls. And their stuffed mushrooms are delicious. When it comes right down to it, if you're really hungry, $10.99 to stuff your face is not a bad deal.

I am not a usual buffet goer due to not usually getting my money's worth. But the price is right. Husband thoroughly enjoyed the baby clams. I enjoyed the edamame, fish, sweet potatoes and quite a few other dishes. Definitely worth it. Waitress was attentive in taking away our dirty dishes.

Very great bang for your buck. The raw oysters are great, the sushi is above average for an all you can eat place where they usually have a disproportionate rice to fish ratio and too many imitation crab rolls. They have a hibachi bar where you get to choose your own meats and veggies. Lots of different shrimp dishes, your typical ice cream, pudding, fruit dessert bar. No dim sum but they have just about anything else you'd want - something for everyone. Place is clean and staff is friendly. No complaints. It's not "tavern on the green" but $10.99 per person you can't go wrong.

Went a few months back... They have a good assortment.. Food tasted great

It's exactly what you'd expect from an inexpensive "Chinese" buffet. Lots of variety, not very high quality. The wait staff are friendly, which goes far in my book. Bottom line is that the food is average and forgettable, but also inexpensive and it's a good place to go if you need a fast lunch.

We ate here once with the family. Not bad, not great. Typical Chinese super buffet fair. I would go back if it was a group decision. For us to repeat a buffet it has to be exceptional. We are not your buffet kind of people; there is something about eating at a trough that just does not thrill us.

Ive been there 4 times. I am a fan Chinese buffets but I am very critical of the freshness and temperature of buffet food. i watch staff closely to see how the keep the line clean and stocked. I like their selections, and the food is decent. I have had much much worse here in Florida. Ive stopped in for lunch every time and have not been disappointed , not once. If you like Chinese buffets, this place is the best Ive been to from West Palm Beach fl to Jensen Beach Fl...And Ive been to a few too! Oh and I don't think its really Chinese..its a mix at best. cant wait to go again!

I have eaten at this place dozens of times and it has improved. Is it up to paar with other Asian buffets like the Crazy Buffet? No. Only because their sushi variety isn't great) But it is the best survivor out of all of the Asian buffets that have closed down in the Treasure coast area. I enjoy the sushi (it's better at dinner) and the lightly battered tasty calamari. (Squid) At dinner time they offer crab legs (for an extra 7 bucks) and they also offer other shell fish like raw oysters. (Surprisingly fresh) My kids love the place and my husband enjoys the hibachi grill. The sushi chefs could be friendlier. But I do recommend it. Worth the price.

The price is right, HOWEVER, the food was not very good. The bathrooms were disgustingly dirty and I found a dead roach in one stall so I can only imagine what the kitchen looked like. . . eeeeek! There were a lot of items on the menu considering the $6.95 lunch price. But, hubby and I would definitely NOT go back!

The only thing good about Mikata Buffet is I didn't get sick. Maybe I just don't care for buffets.

I'm going to say upfront here--I have a love/hate relationship with buffets. I love that you have the opportunity to sample all these different kinds of food with cost not being an issue. On the other hand, the food is not usually that well-made, you have to really keep your portions in mind, and there are usually an inordinate amount of babies seated around you. Mikata is a pretty typical buffet in those ways, and there's nothing really interesting enough to make me want to return. There was just enough of everything for me not to ask for my money back, but the food itself was pretty forgettable.

Mikata buffet has a pretty large selection of choices. But quantity does not equal quality. I was pretty turned off by most of what I tried. Full disclosure: I've never been the biggest fan of Chinese buffets. But I can tell you that I've had better. The sushi in the back and the oysters on the side did not look fresh at all, so I avoided them. What I mean by that is that the oysters and the fish had a matte, colorless look to them - they lacked the saturated color and glossy sheen of a fresh piece of fish. I did enjoy their steak and peppers, and salt and pepper chicken. Everything else, even the green beans and broccoli au gratin, had a strange aftertaste. I love veggies...but I know that they aren't difficult to prepare. The green beans were just funky and that freaked me out. The service was friendly and attentive for a buffet. There were several waitresses on our side of the restaurant, constantly filling glasses and attending to patrons. But the food was forgettable, and I probably won't go back.

They have a large selection, and the lunch is real cheap. Other than that it is your basic Chinese Buffett.

Just had lunch here and for the price it cannot be beat. Goodbuffet food. Good selection. Good service. Especially if your money is tight and you want some Chinese. I will be back again.

The food was good ,they had a large variety to choose from . The wait staff was efficient not overly friendly.most likely to come back but not a regular. Prices were good and the buffet was kept stocked ,we were here during the lunch time.

I'm usually not a fan of buffets but this is by far much better then most . Food was very fresh and hot. Great selection with lots of choices . Even have a sushi bar, you can watch them making it fresh right there. That was my favorite pic of all the items . Went here with a group of people, everyone enjoyed! Give it a try, you won't be disappointed especially for the price, very reasonable .

Terrible, don't do it! Staff all looks unhappy and rude. The food is not that great and a small selection of sushi. The place looks very dirty and poorly maintained.

Food is fairly good but servers are not very friendly. Makes me Not want to go In there because of that.

Not bad for a buffet, they do have a large selection of food to choose from. I was impressed that they had fried plantains!! For a lunch buffet, I'd recommend it!

  • Norm A.

Best Chinese buffet on the Treasure Coast. Very large selection of food. A large variety of sushi. Even the ice cream was good. They are always replenishing the food. Certainly worth the price. We will come back again.
